The author studies the convergence of formal solutions of nonlinear equations which contain Goursat problems and Fuchsian equations not satisfying the so-called Poincaré condition. In particular, he gives a sufficient condition for the convergence of formal solutions and deduces from it a generalized spectral condition for Fuchs-Goursat equations. It generalizes and unifies the so-called spectral condition to Goursat problems and the Poincaré condition to Fuchsian equations, and it assures the convergence of formal solutions. We can also deduce from it classical existence theorems of Goursat problems. The author studies also the connection between the factorizability of certain polynomials determined by the operators and the convergence of formal solutions. He gives also a necessary and sufficient condition for the convergence of formal solutions for some classes of linear equations in terms of a so-called exponential condition.
