The paper deals with a generalized fixed-charge model with monotonous increasing function. It is shown that its feasible domain is nonconvex which means that the usual convex programming procedures are not applicable. An inconsistency analysis of the model is provided and a procedure for the optimal solution of the model, based on the processing of fuzzy relation inequalities composed by the max-product operator is analyzed. The max-product operator was chosen as the usual representative of compensatory operators adequate to the modelling of trade-off behaviour. The theoretical model is illustrated by a numerical example.
