The concept of a controllable solution set of an interval linear system as defined by \textit{A. V. Lakeev} and \textit{S. I. Noskov} [Dokl. Akad. Nauk, Ross. Akad. Nauk 330, No. 4, 430-433 (1993; Zbl 0817.15002)] is firstly extended to interval nonlinear systems. Secondly, conditions for interval linear equations to have no controllable solution at all or to have no controllable solution in some orthant are presented.
