The first and the third author [Optimization 16, 863-868 (1985; Zbl 0592.93009)] proposed a method for determining the null-controllability set of autonomous nonlinear systems. The authors concede that the numerical realization of this method, which is based on the use of Lyapunov functions, may cause problems. - In the paper under consideration, this drawback is overcome by the application of interval arithmetical tools, i.e. interval extensions in connection with appropriate subdivisions.
