Two completely regular Hausdorff spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) are called \(t\)- equivalent [\textit{A.V. Arkhangel'skij}, Usp. Mat. Nauk 33, No. 6(204), 29- 84 (1978; Zbl 0414.54002)] if there exists a homeomorphism (not necessarily linear) of the space \(C_ p(X)\) onto the space \(C_ p(Y)\) (as usual, the subscript \(p\) denotes the topology of pointwise convergence).A considerable portion of this note is devoted to the question in the paper cited above: which topological properties are preserved by \(t\)-equivalence? More precisely: for which classes \({\mathcal P}\) of spaces can we say that if the spaces \(X\) and \(Y\) are \(t\)- equivalent and \(X\in{\mathcal P}\) then \(Y\in{\mathcal P}\)?
