    The author considers the space-time behavior of the unitary propagator \(\{U(t,s);t,s\in R\}\) determined by the Schrödinger evolution equation \[ i\partial_ tu=-{1\over 2}\Delta u+E\cdot xu+V(t,x)u,\quad t\in R,\;x\in R^ n, \] where \(E\) is a homogeneous electric field and \(V\) a time dependent potential. The main result of the paper is the following theorem: Let \(k\geq 1\) and \[ \partial_ x^ \alpha V\in L^{2p/(2p- n)}_{loc}(R;L^{pn/(n+jp)})+L^ 1_{loc}(R;L^ \infty);\quad |\alpha|=j\leq k, \] then (1) for any \(t,s\in R\),\ \(U(t,s)\) maps \(H^{k,0}\) continuously into \(H^{k,0}\). Moreover, the map \(R^ 2\times H^{k,0}\ni((t,s),\varphi)\mapsto U(t,s)\varphi\in H^{k,0}\) is continuous. (2) For any \(t,s\in R\), \(U(t,s)\) maps \({\mathcal H}_ k\) continuously in \({\mathcal H}_ k\). Moreover, the map \(R^ 2\times{\mathcal H}_ k\ni((t,s),\varphi)\mapsto U(t,s)\varphi\in{\mathcal H}_ k\) is continuous \[ (\text{here } H^{m,s}=\{\psi\in{\mathcal S}';\|\psi\|_{m,s}=\|(1+| x|^ 2)^{s/2}(1-\Delta)^{m/2}\psi\|_{L^ 2}<\infty\}; \] \[ {\mathcal H}_ k=\{\psi\in{\mathcal S}';\|\psi\|^ 2_ k=\|(1+| x|^ 2)^{k/2}\psi\|^ 2_{L^ 2}+\|(1- \Delta)^{k/2}\psi\|^ 2_{L^ 2}<\infty\}). \]
