Fuzzy vector spaces and fuzzy cosets (Q1185035)

This paper contains a summary of results on fuzzy vector spaces [cf. \textit{A. K. Katsaras, D. B. Liu}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 58, 135-146 (1977; Zbl 0358.46011); \textit{P. Das}, Fuzzy Sets Syst. 25, 73-85 (1988; Zbl 0631.54003)] and a discussion of some restrictions in a generalization of crisp results. The author characterizes a singular situation such that the fuzzy vector space is a union of two non-comparable fuzzy subspaces. The generation of a fuzzy subspace by a fuzzy set and the generation of a fuzzy quotient space are also discussed.
