Verf. zeigt, daß die positiven Lösungen von \(x(x+1)=2y(y+1)(y+2)\) durch \(x=3, 15, 20, 44, 608, 22736\) mit dazugehörigen \(y=1, 4, 5, 9, 56, 636\) gegeben werden. Die verwandten Gleichungen \(x(x+1)=y(y+1)(y+2)\) und \(3x(x+1)=y(y+1)(y+2)\) wurden von \textit{L. J. Mordell} [Pac. J. Math. 13, 1347--1351 (1963; Zbl 0124.27402)] resp. \textit{È. T. Avanesov} [Acta Arith. 12, 409--420 (1967; Zbl 0153.06403)] vollständig diskutiert.
