Given a rational Bézier curve \(P(t)=\Sigma w_ iB_{i,n}P_ i/\Sigma w_ iB_{i,n}\), the author uses the special properties of Bernstein polynomials to give explicit and reasonably simple formulas for tangent and curvature of the curve as well as a simple estimate for \(| P'(t)|\) and related results.
