This paper concerns weighted \(L^ p\)-estimates for the \(\overline\partial\)-equation in one complex variable. The weight function is \(\exp(-\varphi)\), where \(\varphi\) is a subharmonic function. When \(p=2\) such estimates were proved by Hörmander in much more general situations. We prove that if \(p>1\), then \(L^ p-L^ 2\) estimates hold for general weights, and that \(L^ 1-L^ p\)-estimates hold when \(p<2\). This strengthens previous results by \textit{J. E. Fornaess} and \textit{N. Sibony} [\(L^ p\)-estimates for \(\overline\partial\). Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 52, Part 3, 129-164 (1991); see the entire collection (1991; Zbl 0732.00009)] who also showed that no estimates like this hold for \(p>2\). In another direction we also give some estimates for the \(L^ 2\)-minimal solution operators. One of the results is that we can obtain bounded solutions to the \(\overline\partial\)-equation when the right hand side is a Carleson measure from a canonical solution operator for a weight which is bounded and subharmonic.
