The notion of multiple-valued orderings in projective planes has been introduced by \textit{W. Junkers} and the author [J. Geom. 37, No. 1/2, 95- 104 (1990; Zbl 0706.17001)]. The results of the article mentioned above make it possible to establish one of the central and most fruitful concepts in the study of spaces of orderings, the machinery of compatibility between orderings and epimorphism and related aspects, for multiple-valued orderings (section 1). Conditions for lifting a multiple- valued ordering via a place are the principal concerns of section 2. Using its results, the author obtains wide variety of examples for proper multiple-valued orderings, namely over cartesian fields of formal power series (section 3) and over Jagannathan's ternary fields [\textit{T. V. S. Jagannathan}, J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 36, 65-78 (1972; Zbl 0281.50009)]in section 4.
