Making use of the methods of modern multiplicative number theory, the author obtains new results on the multidimensional distribution of prime ideals in number fields. As an application of his prime ideal theorem, he proves, in particular, that given a full norm-form \(f\) in a number field of degree \(n\) and a point \(x\) in \(\mathbb{R}^ n\), one can find a lattice point \(m\) in \(\mathbb{Z}^ n\) such that \(| f(m)|\) is a rational prime and \(| f(m-x)|\ll_{f,\varepsilon}| f(x)|^{3/5+\varepsilon}\) for \(\varepsilon>0\). We cite also one of the ``almost all'' results: let \(Q\) be an integral primitive positive definite binary quadratic form; there is a subset \(S\) of measure \(\ll_ AR^ 2(\log R)^ A\) (any \(A>0)\) of the circle \(D_ R:x^ 2_ 1+x^ 2_ 2<R^ 2\) such that for any \(x\) in \(D_ R\backslash S\) one can find a lattice point \(m\) in \(\mathbb{Z}^ 2\) for which \(Q(m)\) is a rational prime and \(Q(m-x)\ll_{Q,\varepsilon}Q(x)^{1/6+\varepsilon}\) for \(\varepsilon>0\).
