The stability of nonautonomous retarded functional-differential equations is studied using dichotomic maps. Theorems on simple and asymptotic stability are proved. The results are illustrated by examples. In particular, results on stability of the equation \(x'(t)=-b(t)x(t-r)\) and more general \(x'(t)=-b(t)f(x(t-r))\) are established.
