It is the author's merit to collect here lots of special results, which are in large part due to himself and have been scattered so far over many journals, for the first time in book form, making them accessible this way to a larger readership. This monograph will be certainly of interest to specialists in functional analysis and operator theory, with a particular emphasis on direct and inverse spectral problems for differential operators.
