The conventional optimization procedures with single objective and numerous constraints completely separated have some limitations. With regard to the requirements and possibilities of a real process, the operator may have several expectations such as minimum output variance and lowest control energy, which leads to nonsingle performance requirements. If all the performance indexes and constraints are regarded as generalized demands but that the control should satisfy the different degrees of importance, then the process optimization procedure can be described as a coordination procedure for the generalized demands by using the manipulation variables with finite degree of freedom. This is defined as Constrained Multi-objective Multi-degree-of-freedom Optimization (CMMO). In this article the CMMO is proposed from the application background of optimization control for complex industrial processes. The authors formulate CMMO as a QP problem. Through transforming it into a linear complementary programming problem with parameters, the sensitivity problem for CMMO in satisfactory control is discussed, and an sufficient method is developed for the calculation of sensitivity. This method not only solves the optimal solution, but also provides enough information about sensitivity and even one side sensitivity. It is seen from the example that sensitivity analysis is helpful for the multi-objective coordination in CMMO.
