The paper analyzes the hierarchy of intelligent control systems for moving objects (flight vehicles, robots). The following structures are encompassed by expert regulators: fixed-logic, adaptive, learning man-computer, simulation in the control loop. The technology of expert systems is recommendable for designing such systems. Some computer softwares supporting the design of intelligent control systems are characterized (GURU, G2, RTworks). Unfortunately, they do not completely solve the problem of computer-aided design of these systems. Therefore it is proposed to use an algebraic approach for the algorithms of operation of logic inference machines.
