\textit{A. Nakayashiki} studied the inhomogeneous vertex models of 6-vertex type and gave an explanation of degeneration of the ground states in terms of the representations and crystals of \(U_q' (\widehat{sl}_2)\) [Commun. Math. Phys. 177, 27-62 (1996; Zbl 0868.17021)]. In this paper, the authors generalize Nakayashiki's result on crystals to more general quantized affine algebras with involved integrable highest weight representations of arbitrary positive level and perfect crystals.
