A resolvable \((v,4,3)\)-BIBD is called a whist tournament \(\text{Wh}(v)\) if every block \((a,b,c,d)\) is a game \((a,c)\) against \((b,d)\) and every player partners every other player exactly once and opposes every other player exactly twice. Set \(N=v-1\) if \(v \equiv 0\pmod 4\) and \(N=v\) if \(v \equiv 1\pmod 4\). A \(\text{Wh}(v)\) is called \(Z\)-cyclic if the round \(j\) can be shifted into round \((j+1)\) by adding one (mod \(N\)) to every element of round \(j\). The authors present constructions of new \(Z\)-cyclic \(\text{Wh}(v)\) for \(v=q^{2k}\), \(k>1\), and for \(v=q^{2m+1}+1\), \(m>0\), where \(q \equiv 3\pmod 7\), \(q\geq 7\) a prime. The existence of these tournaments is subject to the existence of \(\text{Wh}(q^2)\) and \(\text{Wh}(q+1)\) for \(q\geq 7\) of special type.
