The aim of the paper is to obtain estimates for orthogonal polynomials \(B_n^{(\alpha)}(x)\) with respect to Gegenbauer-Sobolev type inner product [\textit{H. Bavinck} and \textit{H. G. Meijer}, Appl. Anal. 33, No. 1--2, 103--117 (1989; Zbl 0648.33007)]. Namely, the asymptotics for the weighted (with respect to the Gegenbauer weight) \(L_2\)-norm of the polynomials \(B_n^{(\alpha)}(x)\) as well as the asymptotics of different kinds for those polynomials are given.
