The author proves a rather general existence theorem for continuous selections passing through fixed points of multivalued contractions, depending on a parameter, with closed nonconvex decomposable values. Using this theorem, the author studies such topological properties of the fixed-point set as the retraction property, arcwise connectedness, etc. The necessity of studying the existence of such selections is caused by their applications to the theory of differential and evolution inclusions which result from some controlled systems described by ordinary as well as partial differential equations.
