The conformal \(N = 1\), \(d = 4\) supergravity was first found by supersymmetric extension of Weyl action. The model was later described on the group manifold \(G = \text{SU}(2,2/1)\) within Lagrangian formalism, with graviton, gravitino and axion as physical fields. The authors start with this model and present it in the first-order canonical covariant formalism (CCF). They show that there are primary constraints which are of second class and there are no secondary constraints. In the physical space \(G/H\) (\(H\) -- boson gauge group) they choose the privileged time direction. Then they relate the first order CCF to the second order canonical component formalism (CVF). As the Lagrangian contains higher derivations this requires Ostrogradski transformation of the fields. Now there appear primary and secondary constraints which are of first and second class.
