A general magic square is a square array of \(n^ 2\) distinct nonnegative integers with the property that the sum of the \(n\) numbers in every row, in every column and in each diagonal is the same. The paper contains 23 unsolved problems or conjectures on various kinds of magic squares. Useful comments are included.
