This paper attempts to provide a comprehensive literature survey of knowledge in modelling the AIDS epidemic and the pertinent intervention policies. Some information on older or more obscure papers was obtained from previous literature surveys compiled by various authors listed in the references portion of this paper. As a conclusion to the report, different avenues for further research are addressed.
