Regularity of solutions of linear and quasilinear equations of elliptic type in divergence form (Q1326007)

A priori estimates concerning the Dirichlet problem for the elliptic equations \[ \text{div}(a(x) Du)+ \text{div}(b(x) u)+ c(x) u= \text{div } f \] and \[ \text{div}(a(x, u, Du))+ h(x, u)= \text{div }f \] are proved in the spaces \(C(D)\), \(L_p(D)\) and in the Orlicz spaces. The estimates are deduced under the condition that \(f\), \(b\) and \(c\) belong to various Lebesgue spaces. The procedure proposed for obtaining these estimates does not require the employment of the embedding theorem or any known estimate of the solution.
