The paper reports on the progress started with the definition of linear spaces by Libois and developed through the introduction of buildings by Tits under which other important incidence structures are gathered. In this context questions and projects on linear spaces are stated such as studying rank-3-geometries, data for an atlas of linear spaces compatible with the atlas of finite groups, morphisms of linear spaces.
