It is shown that a space of Siegel modular forms whose Fourier coefficients are genus-invariant, is closed under the action of Hecke operators. The proof is based on a result of \textit{A. N. Andrianov} [Russ. Math. Surv. 34, No. 1, 75-148 (1979); translation from Usp. Mat. Nauk 34, No. 1, 67-135 (1979; Zbl 0418.10027)].
