The author has previously considered the representation of rings as rings of certain functions on boolean spectra [e.g., Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 121, 13-24 (1994; Zbl 0815.16014)]. Here he defines a kind of twisting on sections of sheaves and shows that many rings which cannot be represented as functions defined on their boolean spectra can be represented using these twisted functions on ``non-standard'' versions of their boolean spectra. The proofs make use of structures which are saturated in the sense of model theory.
