Global stabilization of a dynamic von Kármán plate with nonlinear boundary feedback (Q1343724)

The authors treat a fully nonlinear case for two-dimensional domains, without geometric restrictions imposed on the boundary, for the dynamic von Kármán plates with nonlinear boundary feedback. In this problem, both the system of equations and the feedback controls are nonlinear. To avoid the difficulties introduced by those nonlinearities, the authors introduce a regularization/approximation procedure, which leads to an approximating linear problem, simpler to solve. The solution of the original, nonlinear problem is the limit of the approximate problem.
