We define the Seshadri constant of a space curve and investigate ways to estimate it. We then give two geometric applications of this invariant. The first is a bound on the gonality of \(C\). The second is a numerical sufficient condition for a stable rank-2 vector bundle on \(\mathbb{P}^ 3\) to restrict to a stable bundle on \(C\).
