\textit{M. M. Capria} and \textit{S. M. Salamon} [Nonlinearity 1, 517-530 (1988; Zbl 0681.53037)] and the second author [\textit{T. Nitta}, Tôhoku Math. J., II. Ser. 40, 425-440 (1988; Zbl 0663.53055)] developed independently higher-dimensional analogues of the notion of self-dual and anti-self-dual connections on quaternion-Kähler manifolds. In the present paper, the authors classify some anti-self-dual bundles on the Grassmanian \(G_2 (\mathbb{C}^{n +2})\), called \(k\)-instantons, by using monads over the flag manifold which is the twistor space of \(G_2 (\mathbb{C}^{n+2})\). This is used to prove that the moduli space of 1-instantons on \(G_2 (\mathbb{C}^{n+2})\) is an open cone over \(\mathbb{P} (\Lambda^2 \mathbb{C}^{n+2})\). For the 1-instanton moduli space on the projective space \(\mathbb{C} \mathbb{P}^2 =G_2 (\mathbb{C}^3)\), the latter result was obtained earlier by \textit{N. P. Buchdahl} [J. Differ. Geom. 24, 19-52 (1986; Zbl 0586.32034)] and \textit{S. K. Donaldson} [in: Geometry today, Int. Conf., Rome 1984, Prog. Math. 60, 109-119 (1985; Zbl 0578.53023)].
