If \(R\) is a domain with quotient field \(K\) and \(E\) is a subset of \(R\), then let \(\text{Int} (E)\) be the set of all polynomials \(f\in K[X]\) satisfying \(f(E)\subset R\). Moreover denote by \(cl_R(E)\), the closure of \(E\), the largest subset \(F\) of \(R\) for which \(\text{Int}(F)= \text{Int}(E)\). The author shows that if \(R\) is a Dedekind domain, \(E\subset R\) is infinite, \(cl_R(E)=E\) and for some nonzero \(d\in R\) one has \(dE\subset R\), then for every \(n\) there exist monic polynomials \(f_0,f_1,\dots,f_n\) and fractional ideals \(J_0,J_1,\dots,J_n\) such that the \(R\)-module consisting of all polynomials in \(\text{Int}(E)\) of degree not exceeding \(n\) equals \(\sum_{i=0}^nJ_if_i\). Note that recently a more general result appeared, dealing with arbitrary subsets of a Dedekind domain [\textit{M. Bhargava}, J. Reine Angew. Math. 490, 101-127 (1997)].
