Let \(SZ\) denote the class of all functions \(f: \mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) such that the restriction of \(f\) to any set of cardinality \(2^\omega\) is discontinuous. The authors investigate (under various set theoretical hypotheses) properties of the functions \(f+g\), \(fg\), \(f\circ g\) for \(f, g\in SZ\), as well as several types of cardinals related to \(SZ\).
