The paper deals with the decay of damped oscillatory integral operators with real-analytic phase. Let \(S(x,y)\) be a real analytic phase function and \(\chi(x,y)\) an amplitude with sufficiently small support, \(0\in \text{supp } \chi\). For \(\mu\) and \(f\in C_0^\infty (\mathbb{R})\) set \[ D_\mu f(x)= \int_{-\infty}^\infty e^{i\lambda S(x,y)} |S_{xy}''(x,y)|^\mu \chi(x,y) f(y)dy. \] The following results are proved: If \(\mu= \frac{1}{2}\) and if \(\chi(x,y)\) is \(C^2\) of compact support, then \(\|D_\mu\|_{L^2}\leq C|\lambda|^{-1/2}\) holds. If \(\chi\) is \(C^2\) and supported in a small neighbourhood of 0, then for \(-\frac 12 \frac{\delta}{1-\delta}< \mu\leq \frac{1}{2}\) it follows that \[ \| D_\mu \|_{L^2}\leq C|\lambda|^{-(\delta+ 2\mu(1-\delta))/2} \] where \(\delta\) is the Newton decay rate of \(S(x,y)\) at the origin. Finally, conditions for the \(L^2\)-boundedness of operators of the type \[ Ef(x)= \int_I|\psi(x,y)|^{-\mu} f(y)dy \] with \(D\in I\subset \mathbb{R}\), \(I\) bounded interval, and \(\psi\) real-analytic are given.
