A particular solvable model of a quantum resonator with two contacts based on the theory of selfadjoint extensions of symmetric operators is considered rigorously. The model includes a 2-dimensional resonator (for instance, quantum dot) and two 1-dimensional leads, each lead connecting to the resonator at a point. It is a concrete realization of the general scheme developed in \textit{V. A. Geyler} and \textit{I. Yu. Popov} [Teor. Mat. Fiz. 107, No. 1, 12 (1996)] supplemented by so-called zero-width slit model. The ``restriction-extension'' procedure is used to obtain the model self-adjoint operator. Transmission coefficients \(T(E)\) for the system both with and without orthogonal magnetic field have been obtained in an explicit form. This permits for the dispersion equation and spectral properties to be investigated effectively.
