Let \({\mathbb P}_1\) and \({\mathbb P}_2\) be projective spaces over a commutative field \(F\) of dimensions \(n>1\) and \(m\geq 1\) respectively, and put \(\overline{\mathbb P}=\text{PG}(nm{+}n{+}m,F)\). The authors deal with linear morphisms \(\lambda\) of the semi-linear product space \({\mathbb P}_1{\times}{\mathbb P}_2\) into an arbitrary projective space \({\mathbb P}\) over \(F\). In particular, \(\gamma:{\mathbb P}_1{\times}{\mathbb P}_2\to\overline{\mathbb P}\) is called a regular embedding, if \(\gamma\) is injective and the image is not contained in a proper subspace of \(\overline{\mathbb P}\). Generalizing a result of \textit{C. Zanella} [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. Simon Stevin 3, 65-79 (1996; Zbl 0859.51007)], the authors give sufficient conditions for the existence of a collineation \(\alpha\) of \({\mathbb P}_2\) and a linear morphism \(\varphi:\overline{\mathbb P} \to {\mathbb P}\) such that \(\gamma\varphi = (\text{id}{\times}\alpha)\lambda\).
