Approximation and regularization of optimal control problems for quasilinear elliptic equations. (Q1395229)

In the present paper the authors consider optimal control problems for processes governed by a quasilinear elliptic equation with nonlinear boundary conditions of the third kind. The coefficients of the quasilinear state equation and the coefficients of the nonlinear boundary condition are considered as controls. The well-posedness of the problem is studied. Difference approximations of extreme value problems are constructed, and estimates of the approximation accuracy with respect to the state and the objective functional are established.
