Let \(f:X\to Y\) be a mapping. \(f\) is a \(k\)-mapping if \(f^{-1}(K)\) is compact in \(X\) for any compact subset \(K\) of \(Y\). \(f\) is a sequence-covering mapping if each convergent sequence of \(Y\) is the image of some convergent sequence of \(X\). In this paper the sequence-covering and \(k\)-images of metric spaces are characterized by \(cs\)-covers.
