The author extends the vanishing theorem of \textit{M. F. Atiyah} and \textit{F. Hirzebruch} [Essays Topol. Relat. Top., Mem. dedies a Georges de Rham 18--28 (1970; Zbl 0193.52401)] to show that when a spin \(\mathbb{Z} /k\)-manifold admits a nontrivial \(S^{1}\) action (all structures respect the \(\mathbb{Z} /k\) structure), then the manifold's \(\mathbb{Z} /k\)-valued \(\widehat{A} _{k}\) genus [see \textit{D. S. Freed} and \textit{R. B. Melrose}, Invent. Math. 107, 283--299 (1992; Zbl 0760.58039)]) is zero.
