A subgroup \(A\) of an (Abelian) group \(G\) is quasi-\(p\)-purifiable in \(G\) if a \(p\)-pure subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) exists such that \(A\) is \(p\)-almost-dense in \(H\) and \(H/A\) is a \(p\)-group. The main result of the paper is that a torsion-free rank one subgroup \(A\) of a group \(G\) is quasi-\(p\)-purifiable in \(G\) if every element in \(A\) of infinite \(p\)-height belongs to the maximal \(p\)-divisible subgroup of \(G\).
