Let \(K\) denote the class of spaces which are hereditary with respect to closed spaces and let DK denote the class of all spaces which are discrete unions of spaces of K. Further, let CSK be the class of all K-scattered spaces having countable ranks. If \(G(\text{K},X)\) is a topological game, then we say that a space \(X\) is K-like if player one has a winning strategy in \(G(\text{K},X)\). Main results: 1. If \(X\) is a weak \(\overline\theta\)-refinable K-scattered space and K satisfies the following conditions: (1) \(X\in\text{K}\), \(2^X\subseteq\text{K}\), Then \(X\in K\). (2) \(\text{DK}=\text{K}\), (3) if \(X\) is a K-like space, then \(X\in \text{K}\). 2. If \(X\) is a refinable CSK-like space, then \(X\) is a DK-like space. 3. Hereditary disconnectedness, zero-dimensionality and strong zero-dimensionality are equivalent in the realm of normal weak \(\overline \theta\)-refinable C-scattered spaces. 4. If \(X\) is a collectionwise normal ultraparacompact-like space, then \(X\) is ultraparacompact.
