The purpose of the present paper is to study a type of reflexivity called ``bounded reflexivity'' of a subspace of operators on a normed space. The authors show the connection between complete positivity of elementary operators and reflexivity of convex sets of operators. They discuss the similarities and differences between bounded reflexivity and reflexivity of a subspace of operators. They give some examples to explain the differences and prove that every algebraic operator is boundedly reflexive. They show that there exist two reflexive operators \(T_1\) and \(T_2\) such that \(T_1\oplus T_2\) is not boundedly reflexive. Furthermore, they study algebraic bounded reflexivity and in their main result they give conditions under which the algebraically bounded reflexivity of a linear subspace \(S\) of bounded operators on a complex Banach space \(X\) is equivalent to the algebraically boundedly reflexivity of \(S\cap F(X)\), where \(F(X)\) is the set of all finite rank operators on \(X\). As applications of bounded reflexivity, they give alternative proofs of some well-known results about positivity and complete positivity of elementary operators.
