Let \(n\geq 2\) and \(S^{n-1}\) be the unit sphere in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) equipped with the normalized Lebesgue measure \(d\sigma\). Suppose that \(\Omega\) is a homogeneous function of degree zero on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) that satisfies \(\Omega\in L(\log^+L)(S^{n-1})\) and \[ \int_{S^{n-1}} \Omega(x)\,d\sigma= 0. \] Let \(U(r)\) be the open ball centered at the origin in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with radius \(2^r\). For a suitable mapping \(\Theta: U(r)\to \mathbb{R}^d\), \(d\in\mathbb{N}\), and a measurable function \(h: \mathbb{R}^+\to \mathbb{R}\), let \(\{\sigma_{t,\Theta,\Omega,h,r}: t\in\mathbb{R}\}\) be the family of measures defined on \(\mathbb{R}^d\) by \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^d} f\,d\sigma_{t,\Theta,\Omega, h,r}= 2^{-1}\chi_{(-\infty,r)}(t) \int_{| y|\leq 2^t} f(\Theta(y))| y|^{1-n} \Omega(y) h(| y|)\,dy. \] The authors study the integral operator \(S_{\Theta,\Omega,h,r}\) of Marcinkiewicz type defined on the test function space by \[ S_{\Theta,\Omega,h,r} f(x)= \Biggl(\int_{\mathbb{R}} |\sigma_{t,\Theta,\Omega, h,r}* f(x)|^2\,dt\Biggr)^{1/2}. \] Assuming certain size conditions on \(h\), the authors establish the \(L^p\)-boundedness of \(S_{\Theta,\Omega,h,r} f(x)\), \(1< p<\infty\), if \(\Theta\) satisfies one of the following conditions: 1. \(\Theta\) is of finite type at \(0\). 2. \(\Theta\) is an odd polynomial mapping. 3. \(\Theta\) is a real analytic mapping from \(U(r)\) to \(\mathbb{R}^d\). In this paper, the authors also study some topics closely related to \(S_{\Theta,\Omega, h,r}\), such as maximal operators and operators along curves.
