Since its introduction by Brenner-Butler and Happel-Ringel in the 80's, tilting theory has been very useful in the study of Representation Theory of Artin Algebras. In the classical tilting theory, the tilting modules considered are finitely generated and of projective dimension at most one. Generalizations of this concept were given in recent years by considering, for instance, arbitrary rings, and/or infinitely generated modules, and/or tilting modules of finite projective dimensions. The purpose of this paper is to generalize, in the context of arbitrary rings and infinitely generated modules, to the \(n\)-dimensional case the notions introduced, in the one-dimensional case, by \textit{R. Colpi} and \textit{J. Trlifaj} [J. Algebra 178, No. 2, 614-634 (1995; Zbl 0849.16033)]. Moreover, the author shows that the classes of modules satisfying her definition coincide with the classes of tilting and cotilting modules studied by \textit{L. Angeleri Hügel} and \textit{F. U. Coelho} [Forum Math. 13, No. 2, 239-250 (2001; Zbl 0984.16009)].
