This paper aims to discuss the relationship between the multiple Hamiltonian structures for the finite Toda and Volterra lattices of type \(B_n\) (and so \(C_n\)). The starting point is the existing Lax pairs of the Toda lattices of type \(A_n\), and the key is to apply the Poisson involution theorem and a generalization of Moser's recipe [\textit{J. Moser}, Adv. Math. 16, 197--220 (1975; Zbl 0303.34019)] to transform the Volterra lattices into the Toda lattices of type \(A_n\). A general theorem is also furnished for inheriting a Poisson bracket for the fixed-point set of a Poisson action and for its another application to the periodic Toda and Volterra lattices of type \(A_n\), refer to \textit{R. L. Fernandes} and \textit{P. Vanhaecke} [Commun. Math. Phys. 221, 169--196 (2001; Zbl 0991.37038)].
