Zur Auflösung der Gleichung \(\theta^6+\theta^3+1=0\) setzt der Verfasser \(a=\theta+\theta^8,\) \(b=\theta^2+\theta^7,\) \(c=\theta^4+\theta^5\), berechnet die symmetrischen Verbindungen der \(a,b,c\) und findet hieraus, dass diese Grössen Wurzeln von \(x^3-3x+1=0\) sind, dass daher alle rationalen symmetrischen Functionen von \(a,b,c\) ebenfalls rationale Werte haben.
