The problem is studied, for which \(n\) a full \(n\times n\) nonsingular matrix exists. Extremal properties of ray-nonsingular matrices are discussed. Examples of full \(4\times 4\) nonsingular patterns are presented. If the order of a ray-nonsingular matrix is at least 6, it must contain a zero entry and each of its rows and columns have an equal number \(k\) of nonzeros, then \(k\leq 13\). Some structural properties are given that a full \(5\times 5\) ray-nonsingular matrix must possess, should it exist.
