The authors prove that in an appropriate space consisting of continuous monotone operators (defined on an interval in an ordered Banach space) having hypographs starshaped with respect to zero, there exists a subset which is a countable intersection of open everywhere dense sets such that, for each operator belonging to this subset, the corresponding iterations converge. Instead of considering a convergence property for a single operator, the authors investigate it for the mentioned space of all such operators endowed with a certain natural complete metric, and show that this property holds for most of these operators. This allows to establish the convergence of iterations without restrictive assumptions on the Banach space and on the class of operators.
