Let \(X\) be a metric space and \(Y\) a Banach space; \(F: X \multimap Y\) be a \(H\)-upper semicontinuous multimap with convex values and \(G: X \multimap Y\) be lower semicontinuous with closed convex values and \(F(x) \cap G(x) \neq \emptyset\) for all \(x \in X\). Unifying classical results, the authors prove that for every \(\varepsilon > 0\) there exists a continuous map \(f: X \rightarrow Y\) which is both a selection for \(G\) and \(\varepsilon\)-approximation for \(F\). The parametric version of this result for multimaps of two variables is given. As application, the Dirichlet problem for an elliptic partial differential inclusion is considered.
