Let \(f\) be a holomorphic Siegel modular form of weight \(l\) for the congruence subgroup \(\Gamma_0(N)\) in \(Sp_n\) which is a Hecke eigenform. Let \(L^{(M)} (f,s)\) be the standard \(L\)-function attached to \(f\) and let \(L^{(M)} (f,s, \chi)\) be its twists by Dirichlet characters \(\chi\), where the Euler factors at a prime dividing an integer \(M\) (a common multiple of \(N\) and the conductor of \(\chi\)) are removed. The main object of this paper is for a fixed rational prime number \(p\) to interpolate \(p\)-adically the essentially (i.e., up to an explicit factor) algebraic special \(L\)-values \(L^{(Np)}(f,t,\chi)\) as \(t\) and \(\chi\) vary. In fact the authors prove the existence of two bounded \(p\)-adic measures \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) attached to \(f\), provided that \(f\) satisfies a certain \(p\)-ordinary condition. This generalizes a result of [Invent. Math. 92, 597-631 (1988; Zbl 0656.10023)] \((n=1)\) to all natural numbers \(n\), and remove the condition that \(n\) is even and \(l>2(n+1)\) in \textit{A. Panchishkin}'s result [Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 55, Part 2, 251-292 (1994; Zbl 0837.11029)]. One of the main points of the proof is to show that the method of ``doubling the variables'' for integral representations of standard \(L\)-functions admits a modification which produces a good integral representation for twists of the standard \(L\)-function. The authors avoid the use of holomorphic projections by using holomorphic differential operators introduced in [Math. Z. 189, 81-110 (1985; Zbl 0558.10022)].
