In a previous paper of the author [Tr. Mosk. Mat. O-va 43, 116-141 (1981; Zbl 0525.57034)] a natural fibration is associated to a compact homogeneous space. In this article the homotopic properties of this fibration are studied in the case of compact homogeneous spaces with discrete isotopy subgroup. These properties are used for the study of arbitrary compact homogeneous spaces.
